The title of this article is a little misleading. The only animals tested were mice. What we learn from the research is that microchips implanted into many mice caused cancer in a small percentage. The moral, I guess, could be "Don't implant a microchip into your pet mouse".
There is no research available on IVIS or VetMet about cancer in dogs as a result of implanted microchips.
